1976
Three companies are founded, in three different Italian regions, to operate as Siemens electronic components agencies: Storel, Ge.P Elettronica, ITC Electric.
1997
The three companies are merged into Distar S.r.l.
2001
Distar S.r.l. and Holz Elektronik GmbH create Disway, an European specialized distributor of electronics components.
2004
Distar joins the Arrow company, worldwide leader in the electronic distribution.
The company focuses on a selection of lines with high technological contents. The lines are complementary and together represent a wide range of products to satisfy all customers needs.

Today Distar is an Arrow company in Italy and its headquarter office lies in Castel Maggiore (Bologna), where the purchasing department and local sales force are located. Distar has a marketing, sales and technical support staff of professional and qualified people. Moreover Distar cooperates with the engineering company: Distar Technology Centres (DTC), that works with marketing department on the promotion and technical support of embedded solutions.
Starting from September 1st, 2008 Distar Srl are merged into the Parent Company Silverstar Srl, since Silverstar Srl are assumed all rights and obligations of the merged Company. This agreement to merge not change in any way Distar's commercial profile, which continue to operate as a division of Silverstar Srl maintaining unchanged the mission and business strategy, management structure, sales network, marketing and technical support, range of products and entity logo.
Joining Arrow has granted Distar the best conditions for a further future growth about excellent technical support, sales, organization and know how of international company, present all over the world with more 140,000 customers on different markets and 700 franchises.
Thanks to their preference, our market share has costantly grown up during the last years and the sales product breakdown is well balanced between semiconductors, passives and electromechanicals.
Activities and initiatives of communication establish close always relations with the suppliers, moreover visibility and trasparency on the market in Italy.
